Business Plans and Videos of Past Moot Corp Competition Finalists

The Moot Corp® Program at The University of Texas at Austin offers access to the winning business plans and video presentations from the world renowned Global Moot Corp® Competition.

The Moot Corp New Venture Modules are a collection of winning business plans from the international Moot Corp Competition. The Competition brings together teams of MBAs from some of the best business schools in the world. The teams conceive a business idea, write an extensive business plan and then pitch it to a panel of venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and business leaders. The best of the best is then named global champion of this Super Bowl of world business-plan competitions. The purpose of the Competition is no longer moot as about 75% of the teams go on to launch their ventures. Many are still thriving today.

The Modules are excellent for teaching MBAs to analyze, write and present business plans. First published in 1996 by the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and The University of Texas at Austin, the Modules include business plans and videos of the presentations at the finals for past Moot Corp competitions beginning in 1992.

In 1999, Dr. Gary M. Cadenhead was given the Entrepreneurship Education Pedagogy Innovation Award by the United States Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurship. In his semester-long course which includes writing and presenting a business plan, Dr. Cadenhead uses seven modules.
