Global Champion -
$100,000 The Global Champion will receive 1) $25,000 in cash; 2) the Austin Technology Incubator Launch Package worth $25,000 (featuring the opportunity for a one year membership which includes strategic business consulting services and mentoring from a team of industry experts, office space, and access to discounted legal, accounting, and businesses services from top tier providers); 3) prosecution of the first American patent by Ropes & Gray worth $25,000; and 4) consulting with the McCombs School of Business entrepreneurship faculty worth $25,000; 5) The winning team will also be invited to join Rob Adams in opening the NASDAQ Stock Market on August 15, 2008. |
The above awards recognize the top teams that best combine an
innovative venture idea, an excellent business plan and an outstanding
presentation to demonstrate most convincingly an attractive investment
opportunity.
First Runner-Up
The First
Runner-Up will receive $5,000 in cash.
Finalists
The other Finalists will receive $3,000 in cash.
The Semifinalists will each receive $2,000 in cash. The above awards recognize the top teams that best combine an innovative venture idea, an excellent business plan and an outstanding presentation to demonstrate most convincingly an attractive investment opportunity. Murphree Challenges

This award recognizes the business plan that best demonstrates superior writing and analytical skills, and that best reflects marketing, management, and financial acumen in a clear, concise and convincing manner.
Outstanding Presentation
This award recognizes the presentation that best exemplifies superior
oral, visual and interactive skills, and that best demonstrates poise,
professionalism, and an ability to think on one's feet.
Outstanding Product
This award is for the most creative and innovative product.
This award recognizes the largest or fastest growing market.
NOTE: The judges will determine each of the award winners. In unique circumstances, the judges may create special awards, such as "Boldest Venture."
