2007 was another great year for the Global
Moot Corp Competition.
Finalists for the Global Competition
included a diverse selection of companies
from technology, life sciences,
bio-technology and services business
categories. The geographically dispersed
finalists included two North American teams,
a Thai and a Latin American team, reflecting
the diverse mix of companies that compete.
The Global Moot Corp Competition winner in
2007 was Omega Sensors from
San Diego State University, who is an OEM
supplier of market disruptive accelerometer
technology used in imaging, navigation and
industrial monitoring applications.
The other three finalists included
Endoways, developer of Trocamera™,
a new, low cost, patented device which will
make laparoscopy the preferred diagnostic
tool for abdominal pain in Latin American
hospitals. Mullis Enterprises
that offers highly effective, people, pet
and environmentally friendly products to
control pests and alleviate the pollution
threats posed by current household
insecticides. The last finalist was
Power Prawns, who uses a
specialized technology to breed the most
sought-after, larger, male prawns.
