For those of you I haven't had the pleasure of meeting,
let me introduce myself. I'm Rob Adams and have been the
Director of the Program since Gary Cadenhead's
retirement in August of 2005. After my first full year
on the job, I'd like to report what is happening with
the Moot Corp Program, partnering activities,
educational programs and what we're working on for the
future. |

Let me give you a
little on my background and why I'm excited about being
in this position. I've been active in start-ups my
entire career, some of which I founded, and several of
which went public or were acquired. For the last eight
years, I've been active in the start-up world from the
investment side and established several venture funds,
including AV Labs. I've taught in adjunct positions at
several graduate business schools for more than 15 years
before joining the faculty at The University of Texas at
Austin. I've published a business book, several magazine
articles, and speak internationally on product strategy,
company formation, and the venture process. I am
currently pursuing a Ph.D. in management and working on
another book on new product strategy. |
