| MOOT CORP's Fundraising Efforts |
 |
Each year, the MOOT CORP Program must raise
$200,000 in funding. With the recent grant from the
NASDAQ Educational Foundation, our efforts have
passed the halfway mark. So far, all the companies
that supported the MOOT CORP Program in 2003 have
decided to support it in 2004. One has reduced the
level of support and one has increased the level of
support. We are always interested in adding companies
to our group of financial backers. Corporations support
our program for many reasons. These include the
following opportunities:
To meet and hire the best entrepreneurial MBAs. While
many of the MBAs launch their ventures, typically only
one or two of the team are involved in the launch; the
others seek jobs in established entities.
To gain new clients with high growth potential in
emerging industries. Most of the ventures in the
global Competition launch their ventures.
To network with the outstanding business leaders who
are MOOT CORPā judges.

| MOOT CORP Nets UTopia Grant |
 |
|
MOOT CORP recently received an $18,000 grant from
UTopia, a Knowledge Gateway project. MOOT CORP
Director Gary Cadenhead will use the funds to create
an online resource for entrepreneurs. Drawing on MOOT
CORP's archives of award-winning business plans and
presentations, the online tutorial will help entrepreneurs
with such topics as how to begin business plan
presentations, what to include in an executive
summary, and how to present financial needs. The
brainchild of UT President Larry Faulkner, UTopia opens
the resources of UT's libraries, museums, and
collections, harnessing the power of the Internet to
share university resources with Texans and people all
over the world.
